Intakes

Once you have decided on your inflatable jet boat, it’s important to install a polyurethane intake on your jet unit. Regular aluminum intakes are rigid, and striking rocks and hard objects can result in damage to your intake and/or motor, potentially leaving you stranded in a remote area.

We have tried other options in UHMW polyethylene, and even rigid urethane compounds. We found these to be inferior in regards to damage prevention than the more pliable polyurethane intakes. The softer durometer rating of the Jetech intakes absorbs shock better and also prevents the intake grates from bending as easily, which keeps the water flowing into the intake better after taking hits.

An extended stud kit is provided with each intake. Our stud kits are compatible with both SAE and metric threads.

Stainless Steel Impellers and Replacement Liners

If you’re going to run shallow, you’re going to get some rocks into your intake. OEM impellers are aluminum or aluminum zinc alloy. A SS impeller provides superior damage resistance and we don’t leave home without one. JETECH has polished and sandblasted versions. Don’t get rid of your OEM impeller as it is still good for a spare. When you are upgrading to a new SS impeller you may also want to replace that old liner.
